Hi,
I'm using Freematics ONE+ Traccar Edition with the telelogger firmware since a couple of days. What keeps me wondering is that the device seems to send data all the time. Even after hours of parking I still see a "last update" of 0 minutes. Shouldn't it go into a standby mode when not moving for some time? I'm concerened about both the volume of data that is unnecessarily transmitted but also battery power consumption. When not driving for a couple of days I'm afraid my car won't start - especially during cold winter times. Is there no such thing as auto-standby? Or are there situations that prevent standby? EG ODB timeouts (just opened another thread regarding that problem)?
Thanks in advace for any hint!
regards,
Stephan
Freematics ONE+ Traccar Edition - standby when not moving?
Re: Freematics ONE+ Traccar Edition - standby when not moving?
There is a designated standby mode. Can you check one thing for me. Does your car's OBD still accessible when key is off?
UPDATE: I just committed a fix to github.

Hi,
I'm gonna check out your fix. My car (current Mazda 6) provides power to the ODB port all the time, regardless whether the key is off or on, but I get ODB timeouts when key is off.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to ignore GPS data when the motion sensor tells that the car is not moving or satellite signal is very low? This would prevent false coordinates when driving into a tunnel or a car park. Because of different use cases I think it would be good to have the signal threshold customizable using a variable in config.h.

Re: Freematics ONE+ Traccar Edition - standby when not moving?
Hi,
your fix didn't work for me, but I might also have an additional issue here: I'm not getting any GPS related output anymore. Also the "simple_gps_test.ino" sketch doesn't give any output (Except from (SIMPLE GPS TEST"). Might be my receiver (that I received just a week ago) is faulty? This is also the case when using a fresh clone of your git repo... Help!

Re: Freematics ONE+ Traccar Edition - standby when not moving?
simple_gps_test only works with external GPS receiver and will not work with the unit you have.
Re: Freematics ONE+ Traccar Edition - standby when not moving?
OK, but I cannot get any GPS position anymore - with the same sketches that worked a couple of days ago. Please tell me what to do to get it fixed. What data can I send you for an analysis?
kind regards,
Stephan

Did you use telelogger?
Re: Freematics ONE+ Traccar Edition - standby when not moving?
Yes, I'm using telelogger. The serial output is always like that - no matter if I'm inside or outside. Currently there is no SIM card attached and its not connected to the odb2 port but it's the same with SIM installed and OBD2 connection (of course apart from the SIM and OBD messages):

Re: Freematics ONE+ Traccar Edition - standby when not moving?
You need to put in a SIM card. Otherwise use datalogger.
Re: Freematics ONE+ Traccar Edition - standby when not moving?
Well, as I wrote it's the same with a SIM put in. But as requested I installed datalogger firmware and even after several minutes I get GPS->ready->"no" in the webinterface. Serial output is also shown in the other screenshot.
