UART V2.1 Compatibility

Post by iiPixel »

I have searched around on the forums and can't seem to find a concrete answer. I see on the product page for the Freematics UART V2.1 that it has ISO 9141-2 supported but it also says "partial." I am confused as to what the partial means. Does this mean it is not fully supported? Or is it just that ISO 9141 (not 9141-2) isn't supported so that is why it says "partial"? Should ISO 9141-2 (5 baud init, 10.4 kbaud) work?

Thanks for the help!

There is some timing issue with a few old cars using ISO9141-2 and that's why we marked it "partial".
