Voltage Control

Post by PierreToulza »

Hello,

We've just bought the MK2 Emulator which is really great and easy to use.
We've tested it with low cost ELM327 OBD devices and it works well.
On some other OBD devices, which use voltage control as AutoStop/AutoStart, it doesn't work well, since these devices start OBD listening if battery voltage is higher than ~13 volts.
In our case, the battery voltage seems to be always at ~11,7 volts (probably due to the 12V DC adapter).

I've read that ignition switch doesn't act on battery voltage.
So my question is : Do you have any solution to increase battery voltage to simulate a real start of a car ?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Pierre

The voltage is not manipulated by the emulator. So the current workaround is using a voltage adjustable power supply. We might add that voltage emulation in future.

Hi stanley,
Do you mean I can use a customized power supply? What will be the maximum voltage to prevent damage to the emulator?

Thanks!

The emulator is fine with input voltage below 16V.
