CAR OBD PORT Specifications
CAR OBD PORT Specifications
I need to know about the current supply limitations of the OBD PORT of car, can anyone help?
Re: CAR OBD PORT Specifications
I know this is an old post but the answer is "it depends".
Check the fuse for the car's OBD connector - should be a 15A-20A fuse. So that would be the max.
OBD port is meant to power a diagnostic tool with small LCD so typically not expected to draw more than a couple amps.
I believe the Freematics adapters provide 2A.
