What's the 4G antenna setup for the SIM7600 on the ONE+ Model B?

It is one antenna onboard the PCB, and the U.FL connector for a second (mimo) antenna?

Is it required to put a second antenna on the U.FL connector - or does it help a lot? Do you have one you recommend?
