[newbie] GPS not detected
Posted: Thu Jun 07, 2018 3:54 am
I have a brand new V5 kit from Freematics: 4MB+16GB, 6DOF, and an empty cell module. I believe I have the M8030 GPS, but there are no markings on it.
I have not seen GPS data in the logs, and there is nothing GPS-related on the console. I have flashed several times with different configurations with no change. In fact, there is no diagnostic information on the console at all, apart from a report that samples are being logged.
What should I be seeing? How do I diagnose this?
Here's a sample of my console output:
Serial port COM7 opened at baudrate of 115200bps
01:49.1 | 9793 samples | 89.7 sps | 86974 bytes
01:49.2 | 9805 samples | 89.8 sps | 87082 bytes
...
02:24.3 | 13530 samples | 93.8 sps | 120811 bytes
PID errors: 33
02:24.4 | 13541 samples | 93.7 sps | 120913 bytes
...
02:26.8 | 13791 samples | 93.9 sps | 123177 bytes
02:26.9 | 13803 samples | 93.9 sps | 123285 bytes
02:27.0 | 13815 samples | 93.9 sps | 123394 bytes
02:27.1 | 13827 samples | 93.9 sps | 123502 bytes
Serial port closed
