I'm trying to get a debugger / flash tool for the STM32 connected.
From the schematics I see that J5 should have the necessary pins but it's not present on the PBC.

Are the J5 pins part of the unfilled pads on the side of the PCB. If so, which pads?

Flashing the STM32 is not supported and you are totally on your own.
