Hello, I just set up my V3 kit and uploaded the libraries and MegaLoggerHD example sketch. When I hook everything up and run it, I encounter this (pictured). The program does not progress from here.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?

UPDATE: Turns out I was not using Arduino 1.7.xx to upload, and this was causing the problem.
But I have a new issue! Everything seems to work fine until the MEMS starts putting out data to the LCD. The LCD then fades to black and stays that way. The GPS data outputs right away and I can see it on the LCD, but just as any other info appears, it immediately fades to black.
Any ideas?

Bump and Edit 2:
I just noticed the speedometer needle on my car's dashboard goes to maximum now when the sensor is plugged into OBD.. I'm thinking this is not normal behaviour..
On a 2003 Mitsubishi eclipse

Edit 3: Tried two more cars (2007 Escalade and a 2010 Edge), both are working without issue, so the problem seems to be vehicle-specific.
Could the kit be pulling too much current through OBD for my car's system to handle?
