Hi all,

I've just receive my OBD 2 arduino adapter un model A : 5V UART

before trying with the example code, I just plug the OBD2 module in the plug in the car (Renault Laguna 2 gazoil Year 2007, theoricaly compatible with the OBD2)

It start by flashing green and blue leds, and after 3 Red leds are ligth on .

I put the key in my car to activate the electric power without starting the engine.

The car computer give me a lot of defects and I can't start the car.

I thought that probably the OBD was not initialized correctly and I had programmed my arduino MEGA2560 with the OBD2 UART example.
I connect the OBD2 adapter to the mega2560 and put again the key in my car.
Nothing else more.

Is my adapter have defects ? did I do something wrong ?

if we only plug the adapter to on the car, without connecting it to the arduino (not wired), is the car computer must run normaly ?

Thanks in advance .

PS : I bougth the OBD2 to access to the speed parameter because I need to check if the speed indicator is wrong or if the speed captor doesn't works correctly, because I have a difference of 20km/h between GPS measure and car indication....
