Data Logger Shield for Arduino (with BLE)

I bought the BLE (4.0) Shield for arduino

I've spent hours trying to get it to communicate correctly with android and iphone but I haven't gotten it to work. I can connect to it, but I can't get it to respond to anything I'm sending to it. I want to turn an LED on and off based on what I send from the phone.

Can someone provide me some arduino code that works with BLE 4.0? (Uno or Mega)
