600 mah via GPIO?

Hello everybody,

I plan to use the external GPS Interface to power an USB LTE Modem to have Wifi in my car. As I need to turn it on and off via in the programm I can't run int on the direct Power or lighter. So I coul'd use those GPIO Pins, but is it a good idea as the LTE Modem will consume up to 600mAH?

600mA should never go through GPIO. GPIO is not for driving a heavy load. Max current for ESP32 GPIO is 12mA.
