No data CAN H, CAN L lines of the emulator

Hello,

I need some help with the emulator. When I plug in a ELM327 scanner, i can read the speed,rpm and other info. But when I connect the CAN H and CAN L lines only, I get nothing. I know that all the grounds for all these connections are connected to the same power supply. I check the lines with a scope and I find no activity on them.

Could you please advise how i can connect the emulator CAN H and CAN L line such that they are transmitting basic data.

I am testing a CAN scanner hardware that only accepts the 2 CAN lines.

The CAN lines of the emulator do not actively generate signals, unlike a CAN simulator.
