Operational problems with Freematics ONE+ Model A GPS

Post by outfieldgrease »

Hello,
I upgraded my Freematics ONE+ Model A software to the current version, however the GPS still does not work. I used to develop the software using GNSS_EXTERNAL and it worked great with the new setup. GNSS_STANDALONE does not recognize the external GPS.
reverting to the old code on git re-compiling and it works again so its not a hardware problem

what am I missing in the setup of config.h freemaic builder etc?

Thanks

Hi, I'm also trying to get the GPS working on my Freematics Traccar Edition, which is a Model B I believe. I get constant 0,0 coordinates with the latest version of the software. Which commit are you using when you say it does work?

Ensure that the settings in config.h are correctly configured for GNSS_STANDALONE. Compare your current config.h with the previous version where GNSS_EXTERNAL was working and verify that necessary parameters are correctly set for GNSS_STANDALONE.

Operational Problems with Freematics ONE+ Model A GPS may include inconsistent GPS signal reception, difficulties in connecting to mobile networks, and challenges with data logging accuracy. Fastest Internet Provider Users might also experience issues with firmware updates or compatibility with certain vehicles. Proper troubleshooting and regular maintenance can help mitigate these problems.
