changing the ECU response ID's in OBD

Post by JulieD »

How do I change the ECU response ID in CAN 11-bit protocol? My simulator is responding with 0x7e8. I would like to be able to change it to ID's from 0x7e8 to 0x7ef. Are these ID's configurable?

In the CAN (Controller Area Network) protocol, devices exchange information through CAN messages. Each CAN message includes an ID on 11 bits (in CAN 2.0A version). The ID of the message determines the priority and how the message should be handled in the CAN network. mapquest directions
