MEMS coordinate system

Post by Gauner »

I'm missing a documentation of the position of the coordinate system of the internal MEMS chip of the One+ Model B.
If I run telelogger, and assume the output after "ACC BIAS:" to be x/y/z, I'd get a left-hand coordinate system. Ist that true!? Why this uncommon convention?

If I put it with the left side (looking at the label) down, I get ACC BIAS:1.00/-0.11/0.12. (Assumed x-coordinate positive)
If I put it with the upper side (looking at the label) down / OBD-Plug down, I get: ACC BIAS:0.01/-1.04/-0.02. (Assumed y-coordinate negative)
If put it on my desk with label up, I get ACC BIAS:-0.01/0.02/1.00. (Assumed z-coordinate positive)

Can anybody find my mistake or confirm this behaviour?
Can Freematics add this documentation on he webpage (or point me there in case I just didn't find it)?

Btw.: As expected, the ICM-20948 has a "normal" right-hand coordinate system, as https://3cfeqx1hf82y3xcoull08ihx-wpengi ... 8-v1.3.pdf clearly states on page 83.
