One+ model A low idle control - idle battery charging

Hi,

I'm looking for a simple way to improve the house battery charging rate in my 2002 VW camper. I've added a Thornwave battery monitor and now I can see that when I'm idling, I'm not charging the main or house battery at all and I have to bring the idle up to about 1200rpm for charging to start.

Has anyone dug into modifying the idle rpm like this?

Are you able to get RPM? Just check RPM and turn on a relay maybe.
