Re: Megalogger issue with Kit#3
I've double and triple checked that it is the Mega2560 board. The compile errors only show up when I have the verbose mode turned on during compile. I don't know what else to do. I'll try whatever, but I don't know what to try. As it sits, I have a bunch of cool hardware that hasn't ever been happy ...

Re: Megalogger issue with Kit#3
Ok. Is it a problem with the way I'm compiling and uploading it? It didn't work properly when it arrived, that's the only reason I started messing with it. Do you have any further suggestions?
Thank you,
Tux4Pres.

Re: Megalogger issue with Kit#3
Stanley, Thank you for your your reply. When I flash to the newest firmware, I pull all the code fresh from Github, delete the old Freematics libraries and replace them with the ones from the newly downloaded code. When I've tried old versions, I use the libraries included with those versions. My li...

Re: Megalogger issue with Kit#3
I also have only used the libraries provided by Freematics. This was a fresh install of the Arduino and the only project I worked with on this PC. I started on a different laptop, but I moved to this one to try to isolate that computer out of the mix. I've only used the Arduino IDE to upload and mod...

Where the voltage switch meets the power jack(I just tried switching to 3.3V vs 5V and the results didn't change): VoltageSwitchMeetsPower.jpeg Closeup of the Bluetooth board's exposed traces: BluetoothBoardClose.jpeg I appreciate all of the help. This is such a cool platform and I love that it is o...

Re: Megalogger issue with Kit#3
Here are the pictures of what I described in the above post. There is a little pin showing, but they seem to seat well in the mega. The slight pin gap seems to be due to the 3.3/5V switch running into the power barrel jack on the mega. Like I said, the pins seem to seat well. It's tough to push the ...

Re: Megalogger issue with Kit#3
Syl, There is a bluetooth board on the underside of the megalogger shield. On the underside of that bluetooth board is an exposed maze of traces that seems to line up with the mega's USB socket's metal exterior. I assume these are grounds and that the bluetooth board is grounded via its connection w...

Re: Megalogger issue with Kit#3
Sorry, I didn't list the things I've tried. I've tried three different Megas. Two 2560s and a 1280. I've tried uploading with the GPS and/or the OBD-II unplugged. I've tried uploading while being powered by the OBD-II via the vehicle's(1999 Jeep Cherokee) 12 volt power. I've tried several vehicles. ...

Megalogger issue with Kit#3
Hello, I'm running into an issue with my new kit #3. I plugged in my kit as described in the guide and no PIDs were listed. The readout was as shown: ShippedFirmware.jpg I then uploaded the current firmware to try and remedy the issue. The readout changed for the worse: NewestFirmware.jpeg What can ...
